Mark Your Calendars . . . December Sixth!

There is a lot of bad stuff surfacing in our Church and world today. Seems that offering a day of prayer on December Sixth honors our dedication to God and sends forth prayers in reparation for the evil that is being done. I also included below prayers which would be great for starting a Novena forĀ  these intentions beginning on December sixth. Hey, if four exorcists think we need this, I’m going by their experiences in their ministry!

Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thy altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but, to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy Most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known Thee; many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart.

Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to their Father’s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.

Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof; call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.

Be Thou King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism; refuse not to draw them all into the light and kingdom of God. Turn Thine eyes of mercy toward the children of that race, once Thy chosen people: of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Savior; may it now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life.

Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to It be glory and Honor forever. Amen.

Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

O sweet Jesus, Whose overflowing charity for men is requited by so much forgetfulness, negligence and contempt, behold us prostrate before Thy altar eager to repair by a special act of homage the cruel indifference and injuries, to which Thy loving Heart is everywhere subject.

Mindful alas! that we ourselves have had a share in such great indignities, which we now deplore from the depths of our hearts, we humbly ask Thy pardon and declare our readiness to atone by voluntary expiation not only for our own personal offenses, but also for the sins of those, who, straying far from the path of salvation, refuse in their obstinate infidelity to follow Thee, their Shepherd and Leader, or, renouncing the vows of their baptism, have cast off the sweet yoke of Thy Law.

We are now resolved to expiate each and every deplorable outrage committed against Thee; we are determined to make amends for the manifold offenses against Christian modesty in unbecoming dress and behavior, for all the foul seductions laid to ensnare the feet of the innocent, for the frequent violations of Sundays and holidays, and the shocking blasphemies uttered against Thee and Thy Saints.

We wish also to make amends for the insults to which Thy Vicar on earth and Thy priests are subjected, for the profanation, by conscious neglect or terrible acts of sacrilege, of the very Sacrament of Thy Divine Love; and lastly for the public crimes of nations who resist the rights and teaching authority of the Church which Thou hast founded.

Would, O divine Jesus, we were able to wash away such abominations with our blood. We now offer, in reparation for these violations of Thy divine honor, the satisfaction Thou didst once make to Thy eternal Father on the cross and which Thou dost continue to renews daily on our altars; we offer it in union with the acts of atonement of Thy Virgin Mother and all the Saints and of the pious faithful on earth; and we sincerely promise to make recompense, as far as we can with the help of Thy grace, for all neglect of Thy great love and for the sins we and others have committed in the past. Henceforth we will live a life of unwavering faith, of purity of conduct, of perfect observance of the precepts of the gospel and especially that of charity. We promise to the best of our power to prevent other from offending Thee and to bring as many as possible to follow Thee.

O loving Jesus, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our model in reparation, deign to receive the voluntary offering we make of this act of expiation; and by the crowning gift of perseverance keep us faithful unto death in our duty and the allegiance we owe to Thee, so that we may one day come to that happy home, where Thou with the Father and the Holy Ghost livest and reignest God, world without end. Amen.

The Midterms and You?

Most news venues concentrate on only the negatives in life and have yet to give President Trump his fair credit in regards to what he has done with the country up until now. For one thing, he has actually worked to keep his campaign promises which can’t be said of many other elected candidates to date. His election rallies drew crowds yet the democrats refused to see the obvious as evidenced by their election night tears and screams of surprise. Yet, in spite of the turnout to elect a president that kept promises, the Midterms seem to be rather low-key in interest which makes you wonder why the winner of 2016 feel they can be so complacent. You can’t have a ‘red wave’ if voters are going to piddle around and figure someone else can worry about it. After all, would it really make that much difference if the democrats take over the House.

Man’s Disregard for Life Over the Decades

When man feels an entitlement of power over another’s life, whether by race, creed, or color, history shows that they often find a way to act upon their power and destroy what is not their’s . . .stealing the lives of other people to further whatever agenda they want to inflict upon a certain group of people. The list above is only a short one given the many other events in not so long ago history not mentioned here because they didn’t murder enough to be quite as memorable.

I’m thinking the list is even less complete as it doesn’t really cover more recent history. Interesting that it wasn’t noted as it was at the top of the charts for cold-blooded murder.

The attack began in 1973 and continues to this day. So far over 60,000 million have died most without a second thought. The current rate of deaths is over 900,000 a year which is about 2500 a day, and over 100 each hour.

We should pray for all the poor souls that have been brutally murdered over the years by dictator monsters . . . and for the reprieve from the death sentences imposed on so many babies even as I type this paragraph.

The only countries in the world that allow third trimester abortions currently are

China

North Korea

Canada

United States of America

Shouldn’t these countries take their place on the infamous roll call of murderers in history?

Our House Cow

Now, you might be amazed to know that we are harboring a house cow on our premises these days. Frankly, I’m not sure how the zoning laws would apply so the less said, the better right? I will admit that we were taken in at first as he is pretty small for a cow and after almost two years hasn’t grown substantially.

We discovered the hidden fact when my husband had been cutting grass and tracked some into the house. Well, what we thought was a cat turned out to be a grass-starved cow! Since he discovered that grass comes from outside the big door in the hallway, known as the entrance to the rest of us, he breaks out into pathetic ‘moos’ whenever one of us goes outside and forgets to bring in a handful of grass to satisfy his craving. His piteous ‘moooomewows’ are heartbreaking and usually send us right back out to procure the needed addition to his diet.

He has a few other requirements. Don’t just toss down a few blades of grass onto the kitchen floor. He won’t eat them. Don’t forget to wash the grass. He won’t eat them. He wants a paper plate and nice, damp grass and usually leaves us along the rest of the day . . . unless we venture out the front door for the mundane purposes of bringing in the mail, putting the trash cans away, or watering the lawn.

Guarding the Borders

Donald Trump made a statement that, if he were president, he would restrict any person or group of people he felt were a threat to the United States. Arguments aside on the reasons for his idea, the media is having a Trump bashing day with even the White House Ā  coming out and saying Ā  Trump should bow out of the race as his views on the subject make him unfit for running and, possibly, being elected president. It has been said that this idea by Trump was unconstitutional.

Seems the people who are coming at Trump for his words might consider a bit of research on the topic before throwing the proverbial stones.

Funny Once Upon a Time . . . These Days?

[9-1-1]: Anytown 9-1-1. What is your emergency?

[Caller]: OMG, help! Two men broke into our house and shot my little girl!

[9-1-1]: What is it that you want us to do?

[Caller]: Send the police! One of them is pointing the gun at my husband right now and said he’s going to shoot him, too! OMG, hurry! Please hurry!

[9-1-1]: Sorry, we no longer solve problems with violence. The patrol division was disbanded.

[Caller]: That’s ridiculous!

[9-1-1]: No, it actually made a lot of sense. Most of the department quit because they were afraid of being sued or prosecuted for shooting back. We were down to 10 officers, not enough to fill a shift.

[Caller]: Can’t you do anything???

[9-1-1]: Of course I can! Can you give us a description of the intruders for the detective bureau? We still have a few of them working.

[Caller]: Well, one guy is white and the other guy is —

[9-1-1]: STOP! We can’t accept descriptions that contain references to sex, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, or disabilities. It leads to stereotyping and profiling, which is bad.

[Caller]: Then how do you know who to look for?

[9-1-1]: We’re on a proactive enforcement model now. Our focus is on prevention and intervention, not accusation and punishment. Oh, and it’s required in the Justice Department’s consent decree.

[Caller]: Then how do you catch the criminals committing murder in my house???

[9-1-1]: Well, first off, they haven’t been convicted of anything yet, so it’s rather judgmental of you to call them “criminals.” Could you ask them for their names and addresses?

[Caller]: I’m hiding from them, you moron!

[9-1-1]: Please refrain from using terms like “moron.” That word is exclusionary and hurtful, and I’d have to report you to our Equality and Dignity Compliance Division. That’s in the consent decree, too.

[Caller]: Then what am I supposed to do?

[9-1-1]: We suggest complete submission. Maybe you’ll get lucky. <bang!> Then again, maybe you won’t.

[Caller]: That’s it? Surrender to murderous thugs and hope for the best? That’s crazy!

[9-1-1]: Hey, now. “Crazy” is another one of those words. I really don’t want to have to report you.

[Caller]: So there’s nothing you can do for me?

[9-1-1]: Well, if it were up to me, I’d suggest prayer, but I wouldn’t want to risk offending you by imposing my religious beliefs.

[Caller]: OMG, I give up.

[9-1-1]: Yes, I know. Most of us have. Thank you for calling Anytown 9-1-1. Have a nice day.
