When the Blessed Mother Asks, We Should Listen.

Someone once asked Pope John Paul II how to get to Heaven and he held up his Rosary and said that this was the key. When the Blessed Mother appeared at Fatima and Lourdes, the Rosary was there, too. We have had many blessings in our country over the years but there have also been pain and disaster. Time to get Rosaries into as many hands as possible to petition Our Lady and Our Lord to have mercy on us. If you already make Rosaries, make more and give them away! If you don’t know how to make Rosaries, the first link listed has all the material and answers.
St. Paul’s Street Evangelization uses many Rosaries in their work and I would be willing to bet that they have ever had too many on hand for long.
Today, Our Lady of Fatima group is also anxious to get more people praying the Rosary and are asking for donations  or  Rosaries, new or handmade.

Charlie Gard – Medical Treatment Gone Array?

When a government is in charge of healthcare, they can also be in charge of whether you live or die. Case in the point, the medical conflict over the 11-month old, Charlie Gard in Britain. Initially, the powers that be felt that keeping him on life support was futile and the baby should be allowed to die with dignity. His parents feel he should have more of a chance and garnered every cent they could to pay for travel and treatment to America. The British medical services ‘would not allow’ that and put a date of death tag on the little boy. Thankfully, this has been extended and some good has come about on behalf of the little child.

A doctor going for cutting-edge medical treatment on the ailment of the boy and an expert in that particular field came to the UK on his own dime and spent five hours evaluating the little boy. He determined that with the help he could provide in the States, Charlie Gard could have an 11% to 56% chance of improvement. He didn’t feel he was mentally impaired. To sweeten the deal, the US Congress voted to give the parents and Charlie immediate citizenship and residence in the United States. The parents had the financial means to bring the baby over without a single penny required of the British health system. They were refused this by the British doctors and the courts. They are adamant that Charlie stays in Britain and that Charlie should die.

Recently, the doctors showed up at a hearing with brain scans purported to be from Charlie and showing low brain function. Before even talking to the parents about this, they sprung it on everyone to validate their vote for allowing Charlie to die.

You have to wonder about the mind set and callousness of a system that basically kidnaps someone’s child and takes away the parents’ right to make decisions for the child. What is wrong with doctors who refuse to consider an alternative that won’t cost them any money. Why is it so important for them to watch a baby boy die? It does make one think that pride is playing a major part in this because these British doctors have failed to help the baby and are afraid that he just might have more of a life with medical treatment in the United States. Don’t doctors take a pledge about ‘do no harm’? It is tragic, sickening, and evil to follow the news on this where doctors fight for the right to end this little boy’s life.

The Catholic Vote in 2016?

Angel-Photo-Image-GraphicsFairy-650x1024

Judgement Day should be interesting. I’m sure we are all in for a few surprises! During the last eight years, thousands of babies were aborted with the help of our president’s pen. I can see Christ returning, flanked on either side with the baby souls that were not allowed a chance at life. And Catholics will stand there and bemoan the fact that someone like the president of the greatest country in the world, did absolutely nothing to protect life. Sad, isn’t it?

But, midst the mourning Catholics on that imagined Last Day, will be the ones who actually voted in the Culture of Death – not once but twice. Unless there was an epidemic of invincible ignorance, Catholics, at least fifty percent of them, reconfirmed their backing for the anti-life agenda with their vote. As Catholics, we represented more than one vote and more than one chance to possibly save unborn lives and only half of us took it seriously. The tears our Blessed Mother must shed for the United States of America!

It is interesting to note that there are three conditions to be met in order to commit a mortal sin. These conditions are: 1.) A grave matter; 2.) The full cooperation of your free will; 3.) Full knowledge of the seriousness of the matter. How can a Catholic rationalize voting for someone who, by his own admission, was for abortion? If you voted responsibly, you had to know this. Condoning and voting for a candidate that is for abortion, makes you an accessory after the crime . . . doesn’t it?

“But there are other issues at stake . . .” When will people wake up and realize that majority doesn’t make right? What can be more important than the moral issue of the God given right to life? In the Face of Eternity, will you be ultimately be judged on how you protected the amount of your Social Security check, your job security or your economic life style? Will it matter at that point? Will you be able to face the souls of the unborn a reckless vote murdered before their time? If we care so much for the little guy, why did fifty percent of the Catholics vote in favor of the candidate promoting the killing of the littlest of all?

How many times have you heard the tired view point that thinks that as a legal matter, it is all right to vote pro-choice? And the justification that we need to build a society where the need for abortion is reduced? And how there are so many more important issues at stake? You can’t build an honorable society with a foundation of dead pre-born. You won’t get the violence out of the world until we treat the weakest as our strength. The next presidential election is 2017. How will your vote go this time?
