Any Way the Wind Blows – Trump Controlling the Elements?

The world gets more amazing every day and all it takes is a predicted hurricane to bring out emotional but completely hilarious headlines. One of the problems with the hilarity is that people tend to believe such headlines especially if they are declared by a supposedly proper publication like The Washington Post.

Today’s headline from the Washington Post is declaring that Trump is ‘complicit’ for the dangerous storms brewing off shore right now. Wow, is this going to take the current heat over the Russian collusion allegations if the liberal lawyers have to put aside that paperwork to take on the Hurricane Collusion allegations.

Thinking about this (while trying not to laugh) brings up all sorts of questions that a normal person wouldn’t ask but will be tossed generously around by every liberal media ad nauseam.

First of all, what kind of witnesses would have to be called? Since the hurricane collusion in question is still off shore, would the exalted lawyers of the left have to subpoena random but guilty-looking rain clouds? I imagine said clouds have a history of causing rain leading to hurricanes so need to be reined in as soon as possible for questioning. Time is of the essence. Wind and outlandishly high ocean waves may be called in to witness. The illustrious lawyers defending against the magnificent powers of President Trump would have to discern what aspects of the FBI, DOJ, CIA might be implicated in encouraging or even providing the meeting place for this complicity . . . and would they need ships and raincoats?

In discerning this and other important aspects of this complicity, we have to remember with Hurricane Katrina President Bush managed to aim it at predominantly black communities in that storm. As was stated by the global warming and or cooling factions, every storm after Hurricane Katrina would be worse and we would have ten or more a year. So far, we have still had yearly hurricanes of various magnitudes but not ten or more a year.

All this aside, how will the left manage to control this? I mean, if I believed that George Bush and President Trump were capable of being ‘complicit’ with storms aka controlling the elements of the world, wouldn’t they be a little nicer? I mean, they are giving the president credit for powers far and above a human man. I would think they would work on this premise on the down low so as not to ignite the temper of such a being towards their destruction since they are obviously gifting him with power over the force of a hurricane. AND, since we all know that President Trump is definitely NOT part of the Second Coming, would they need to subpoena God . . . or perhaps the warmer side of the after life which they all seem to be more guided by.

President Trump Isn’t Hitler!

When the current protesters, college snowflakes, and radical college professors can’t come up with a real reason to hate the current president, they go for drama and sweeping statements to work up the crowds. Unfortunately, lack of history, whining, profanities and awkward comparisons come into play and the rest of the sheep just keep repeating it without thought. Even the politicians baiting the crowds of hired rioters resort to name calling without a real foundation. If it sounds ‘good’ and is super-insulting, scream it at the top of your lungs whether it is true or now.

Inga Andrews, a survivor of Hitler’s Germany can speak from experience and she has a supported statement on what is actually the problem. While President Trump is working against many odds to protect our country, he is not the source of the Hitler-like shadow over our country and the world.

“What is going on in this country is giving me chills. Trump is not like Hitler. Just because a leader wants order doesn’t mean they’re like a dictator.

What reminds me more of Hitler than anything else isn’t Trump, it’s the destruction of freedom of speech on the college campuses — the agendas fueled by the professors.

That’s how Hitler started, he pulled in the youth to miseducate them, to brainwash them, it’s happening today.” Inga Andrews

The Post-Election Anguish Continues

I was listening to an interview on the radio today with Congresswoman Maxine Waters and was shocked at how she was using her political position to vent mostly unproven venom against President Trump and spoke early and often that she and others were already digging for dirt in order to impeach him. In fact, when she was initially asked by the interviewer, how she thought things would go with President Trump for the next four years, she immediately spewed forth, “I’m not anticipating him even being here for the next four years!”

Now, it is evident that there are a group of people who are less than happy with the new President. I think they should remember a word or two of their rhetoric of eight years ago when they whined that we all need to work together. Miz Waters, however, has yet to uphold a position of responsibility and good example. I think her nasty words towards a man legally voted into office is offensive to people (some of which could be her constituents) who used their American right to vote the way they want. She and many others of her mind set are all for honoring the vote of every American . . . as long as they vote their way!

In my opinion, when you are an elected official, you should work to bring people together rather than create and inflame division. A true politician would strive to put aside personal baggage and see how they can make the transition go smoother. Her rude words will make their way to President Trump and she should now by now that he doesn’t bother to listen to advice coated with scathing tirades and untrue insults.

The way elections go, there is usually a back and forth between who has the upper hand in the government. This time around, the Republicans won the Senate and House majority plus a Republican president. Her party is always talking about reaching across the aisle for the good of this country. It might be time for her and a lot of other politicians to truly work towards the good of the country.

It is obvious her first concern is not a truly united country but a chance to vent her disappointments. Young people often look to actions of politicians in office and example go a long way towards educating future voters.

Being Terrified or Not?

I find the liberal media (which is just about every source of national news these days!), horridly fascinating. For them, it is not news when a Democrat says something absolutely wrong or nasty about another candidate but the good Lord help a Republican that speaks his or her mind in a sane, factual manner.

Can one imagine what would have happened if Donald Trump had called all the Hillary supporters names clearly indicating that he had nothing but contempt for anyone who, basically, didn’t support him? It would be world news and probably even reach alien outreaches in outer space and be replayed over and over and over again. A fact-checking, unbiased media would have, first, gone to the source, verified the verbiage, gotten the exact quote and gone from there . . . You know, like a real journalist. Instead, Hillary insults a wide margin of voters and, I guess, seems to think that will turn them around to her view in the upcoming election. It has to strain her brain cells to see that the Republican voters on the Trump Train turned her mean-spirited, careless words into a slogan for the right and embraced the difference as a much better option than being an uniformed, lemming follower of the left.

I guess my favorite latest and greatest from the Hillary camp is her denouncing Trump for calling the explosions in New York and New Jersey a bomb before it was verified to be a bomb. Seems to me that if someone hears that over 20 people were injured in an explosion on a street in New York where explosions don’t usually happen and say that it seems to them that it was a bomb, that person is well within their right to say so. It doesn’t change the situation whether it turned out to be a bomb or not as it sounded like a bomb. Guess what, it turned out to BE a bomb.

I’m also tired of politicians assuring us that until the facts are totally in, most every event of the past few months aren’t necessarily of a terrorist nature. Of course, within a few days, they are all deemed to have some terrorist roots. I wonder if all the people killed of those wounded would feel better knowing that it wasn’t a terrorist killer but just one of the ‘usual’ rampaging murderers? Besides, if there is a mass attack, it terrifies people so wouldn’t any attack be labeled a terrorist attack and the extra adjectives of ‘ISIS” or “Radical” added when verified?

And the current ploy to claim that some of these ‘terrorists’ are people with mental disorders or not part of the whole is ridiculous. Wouldn’t you think that anyone who murders and maims for the sake of just doing it, be certifiable? That shouldn’t give them an out. And I just heard on the news that the president wants to bring in over one hundred thousand more of the potential radicals into the country with a huge sum of money coming from the taxpayers’ coffers for their upkeep and welfare payments. Hard to respect someone who puts strangers ahead of the needy in our country. Someone who allows our veterans to suffer unduly and often live on the streets. A person who finds more and more ways to undermine the glory of the United States and destroy the potential of our future.

Temper and How Do You Temper It?

What do we have in common that many of us are always losing? Few people have been able to keep this in hand forever. At one time or the other, we have all lost this, probably more than once. And losing this is always detrimental to the people around us and our own sense of being. What is this elusive object that we seem to misplace so easily? Our temper.

The stress of life and the problems facing us, contribute to this loss, however, we don’t have to let it’s loss control our lives.

Although there can be occasions of justifiable anger, I, personally, have not been victim of too many episodes of that nature.

Temper is a spur of the moment reaction to something against your wishes. It is usually a self-centered response because your space has been invaded.

An outburst of temper alleviates your stress for only a minute. Bitterness soon takes its place as you resolve to hold your ground because you are right and the recipient of your wrath is wrong. How can you easily forgive someone who is in opposition to your feelings or ideas? A loss of temper, instead of making a point, poisons the one who lost it. Many times, the temper is evoked because you don’t want to admit wrong, guilt, or even stupidity.

“Man is a rational animal who always loses his temper when called upon to act in accordance with the dictates of nature.” Orson Welles

There is a moment of justification in your mind when you have ‘set someone in their place’ but when you lose your temper, you lose a bit of your own worth. People won’t respect your ire. They will avoid your company.

Some people say their temper isn’t really temper, but their ability to speak their mind. If speaking your mind hurts, embarrasses, or alienates another person, we are talking temper not virtue. Guidance by your words or actions is entirely different from getting your way with an onslaught of temper. Loud noises cause us to close our ears while a whisper draws our attention.

Losing your temper is a selfish event. You get to vent. You get to shout. You get to let people know that you are not happy. You get that minute’s worth of enjoyment at seeing another person suffer. Are there any long-term benefits to your tantrums?

“Never do anything when you are in a temper, for you will do everything wrong.” Baltasar Gracian

Someone apologized to me once after giving in to a massive tirade that lasted twenty minutes as I stood there in shock. Her later explanation for the behavior? She was having a bad day and whatever I had said, set her off. She went on to say that she was always apologizing for her temper as if it was a virtue. She is on the way to being alone with her ‘virtue’. Better to have held your temper in the first place than trying to justify it.

A quick look in the dictionary gives an interesting view on temper. One meaning of the word is “Proneness to anger” and the other one is “To exercise control over”.
As we enter into the Advent Season and start our approach to the stable at Bethlehem, what form of temper will we use on our journey?
