Sadly, Abortion and Democrats are Never Far Apart . . .

Every single person on the Democratic debate stage, yesterday, supports a policy of abortion on demand at any time in the pregnancy. And they expect taxpayers to pay for it. Seems that taxpayers should be allowed to decide what is spiritually wise and humanitarian when it comes to how they spend their money. I think we give enough of our taxes to these people in salaries who only want to charge us for their horrific expenditure desires.

Interesting Question . . .

Can you be a Christian/Catholic in good standing and be a Democrat? If you are serious person of faith, that should be a no-brainer of a question. Start from the Ten Commandments and go from there: Thou Shalt Not Kill. There is no footnote stating, “Except in cases of necessary abortions or that you don’t want your baby or the baby would be an inconvenience . . .”

Now that the evil powers that be have made an inroad in legitimizing the brutal murder of babies even once they exit the womb ‘in error’, who is next on the disposal agenda or the unwanted? In one country, they pride themselves on not having Downs babies . . .they are aborted once this is detected in the womb. In other countries, the elderly and people with mental disorders are sanctioned to be ‘put out of their misery’ based on everyone’s decision but their own.

Two elections in a row, however, the Catholics/Christians easily voted in a president who sanctioned abortion and supported it with our taxpayer funds. He even said that he ‘wouldn’t want his daughter burdened with an unwanted baby’.

We have family that no longer speaks to us because we are Conservative Republicans yet they consider themselves to be Catholic. Thankfully, they just went silent whereas people in our parish actually denounced our voting choices and no longer speak with us. One woman even indicated that the economy should come first in determining our vote.

It makes me day dream about having pastors (the ones that didn’t vote Democratic!) stand at the pulpit, some day, and directly ask the congregation: Can YOU be a good Christian/Catholic and vote Democrat? And, if you think so, can you explain?

Can’t see it happening to any degree and any time soon as the fact that abortion/infanticide is gradually becoming the law of the land and not a word from the pulpit or a mention in the prayer petitions has been made.

Interesting Use of the Catholic Collection Plate . . .

A Disclaimer For the Season!

A disclaimer:

Santa is a man “Baby it’s cold outside” is not offensive Candy canes are “canes” not the letter “J” for Jesus We say “Merry Christmas!” Not happy holidays Children should get to decorate their classrooms for Christmas There were 3 wise MEN, not wise PEOPLE Baby Jesus was a boy…not a “theybie” Mommy wasn’t really kissing Santa Claus, she was kissing her husband

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer actually teaches kids NOT to be bullies Stop turning Christmas into a political agenda!! Let kids be kids! Let them believe in Santa! It’s the one time of the year we should all be a little nicer and forget everything that makes us mean or offended. Merry Christmas!

Weakness of the Christian Privilege Notion.

Have you heard? The newest ‘privilege on the block is now Christian Privilege. Up to now, the ‘privilege’ affecting so many of us has been ‘White Privilege’. Well, I still haven’t wrapped my head around what White Privilege is or how I acquired it and now in addition to possibly being in legal sin of some sort with that, I find out I am also endowed with Christian Privilege.

First of all, just to clear the air a bit, I do not remember at the time of my conception being given a choice of being white, black, or brown. Nope, I was born and that was that, I was white. And, if white was the color du jour and God is a merciful God, why did He arbitrarily assign skin colors rather than coming up with a neutral tone for everyone? So, I resent being condemned for something I had no control over.

Now, the White Privilege masses are also entitled to belong to the Christian Privilege group. A pause for a question: If, to avoid the label of being a part of Christian Privilege, someone denounces any kind of Godly faith, does that now label them with ‘Atheist Privilege’?

A thought does come to mind, however. Not just white people (or whatever variation of the color wheel you might belong to . . .) are Christians. In fact, attend a Christian service most any Sunday and you will find quite a variety of ‘color’ in the congregations. Now, are only the white people in attendance of the Christian Privilege persuasion? Should the other races be parceled out in title because they are obviously sharing that church time with us white Christian Privilege people.

Given this mixture of races sharing time with God in the same pews at the same respective churches, wouldn’t it be safe to say that if you want freedom or prejudice from race, color, or creed, Christianity is the way to go? As one of our hymns go, All Are Welcome . . .

Now, the media didn’t come out and say that all Christians are white but there is always the insinuation and the Christian Privilege seems to be quietly linked to us pale pew warmers. With some thought (not a liberal strength), it seems to me in my humble opinion that Christian Privilege is actually a good and noble state of being. It is the one thing that includes all people, that doesn’t judge, and makes better people of all that attend.

I say we all drive the crazies that came up with Christian Privilege into turmoil by regarding the title as a compliment acknowledging our faith in God and wanting to be the best people we can be.
