Positively NO!

The problems of the world are there for us to see. Some of us are affected more than others but the daily news brings us all closer to the reality of a generation on a downward spiral. We need a positive thought to offset the negative. And I think I have found it. We need a negative to bring back the positive!

Upon reflection, the answer is in the hands of the females of the world. Yes, I think a lot of what is wrong can be righted by women taking a firm stand with using only one, simple word. The word NO! There is so much of a positive nature that can be accomplished with a negative – a NO.

The ‘me generation’ could be turned around if there were stronger parents, especially mothers, who would, could, and should say NO more than they do.
Unmarried mothers are at an all-time high. One guess who could have prevented the problem with a heartfelt NO. And where does the ‘positive negativity’ begin? With a mother willing to not only say NO but to give a good example by living with the same rules of life she expects from her children.
The world takes advantage of women because so many women are anxious to be part of the workplace, one of the ‘guys’, They say yes when NO would have taken them along a better path in life.

The fashion moguls dictate scanty outfits, immodesty, and generally ugly fashions. Women must be either brainwashed or afraid to say NO because they go along with the current lack of dress code and self-esteem.
Women want respect yet lower their standards instead of saying NO. Many females bemoan the baring covers of supposedly classy magazines that reveal everything but good taste. Obviously not enough NO’s as they all stay in business. Where would all the popular swimsuit editions be if the stars would object and refuse to pose?

The world doesn’t shape our thoughts, words, and desires. We shape the world either by our active participation or lack of interest in making a change. We can do something and the world changes or we can do nothing and the world will change regardless, but probably not to its betterment.
Why are women calling themselves liberated when they are such slaves to what everyone else thinks and what everyone else does or dictates? Where is the liberation in being the same? We have become such a cookie cutter society. How many times have you seen a chubby woman squeezed into spandex because that is the fashion? What had she done with her liberated right to say NO, and to wear something becoming to her?

Why are so many women forsaking their purity because they are told it doesn’t matter, it is an antiquated notion? The Ten Commandments are pretty old, too. I haven’t heard that God had rewritten them lately. Again, another big NO would save a lot of sin and sorrow.

It is heartbreaking to think of the responsibility we, women have shunned by our silence. Can you imagine the changes in the world if each and every woman on earth began tomorrow with a NO to the sins to which the world wants us to say yes?

Stormy Weather . . .

This seems to be an interesting turn of events but not particularly surprising in today’s world. The everlasting feature of all liberal news icon, Stormy Daniels was given the key to the City of West Hollywood today for her leadership in the #RESIST movement. May 23rd, as in today, is being proclaimed ‘Stormy Daniels’ Day.

Okay, is this woman now someone we should hold up in admiration to our daughters? Should we tell the girls of today to ‘go forth and do likewise’ and be famous, too?

First of all, she is using and being used for agendas other than the one she is claiming. She is a porn star that leaves nothing to the imagination in her career choice. Basically, she was born in a generation where she would be praised for having advertised an ‘adult’ encounter without fear of any degradation for her career choice.

The world is in a moral mess. Now, the liberal media and cohorts present this person as someone to admire.

We are living in a world of emperors with no clothes and a media that keeps telling us how great they look for the country/world. Now, we have a porn star being exalted and even though she has often been in venues with no clothes, no need to point this out because she voluntarily sold out her values and was paid $30,000, too. I’m just waiting for a Russian connection to come forth as they always seem to crop up when all else fails for the liberal factions.

Not Surprising . . .

Although many of us have had an inkling, mildly speaking, that there is trouble brewing in the Catholic Church, the statistics we heard at Mass put it into a shocking perspective. For every new Catholic welcomed into the Church, six Catholics leave.

For anyone who is shocked and appalled at this statement . . . tell me, where have you been over the last several decades?

How did you miss the change wrought by the onset of feminism and it’s effect on the women, men, and children? Supposedly, women felt a need to climb down from the proverbial pedestal of respect and be treated like a man. Well, that isn’t working out too well as so many women turn their back on the real power of being a women, wife, and mother to spend their life trying to find themselves while demeaning men and just about anyone else that doesn’t agree with them. When would they have time for God. Besides, God is too Patriarchal for them.

Abortion isn’t a quiet issue as it is almost praised and revered for ‘freeing’ women from the unwonted burden of giving a child life. Lack of chastity and women’s newfound freedom isn’t working out all that well. Repentance and confession doesn’t fit into the mind set of their perceived freedom so they don’t need or want the disapproval of the Church or reminders about saints who gave up everything to respect God.

As has often been said in such times, it seems that good is now bad and bad is now the new good. Fake news, warped news, and liberal news confuse the masses to the point they can’t see going to Mass.

Modesty is ridiculed, fashions bare all, there are protests and parades in public you wouldn’t want your child to see. Freedom of speech is waning quickly. There is a lot more that could be said for the slippery slope on which we’ve set civilization. So, if you are shocked at the dwindling numbers of vocations and the people leaving the Church, again, where have you been?

If nothing else, the elections of President Trump’s predecessor should have been a major clue when over 50% of the Catholic vote in both of those elections went to elect a very staunch supporter of abortion and Planned Parenthood. When you knowingly vote to help kill the unborn, it kind of makes honoring God a contradiction in terms.
